Along with his brother David and sister-in-law, Laureen, Dan opened Blue Hill at Stone Barns—where he serves as chef—in 2004. He has received multiple James Beard awards, has appeared on Time Magazine’s list of 100 most influential people, and was appointed by President Barack Obama to serve on the President’s Council on Physical Fitness, Sports and Nutrition.
