Edward Silva is an entrepreneur, food security ambassador, and technologist who was raised on a farm in California’s San Joaquin Valley. Edward co-founded Henlight, an award-winning technology that transforms the possibilities for farmers around the globe, and recently served as an Impact Designer at the XPRIZE Foundation. Additionally, in 2016 Edward was the Executive Director of the Thought For Food Foundation, an innovation platform helping empower and engage university students to build businesses that help to feed 9 billion people by 2050. Edward lives in Oregon with his wife and enjoys hiking, gardening, and kayaking, all while thinking about how to leverage exponential technology to answer agriculture's biggest challenges.
