Dr. Suzanne Pierre (she/her) is a global change ecologist and biogeochemist. Her work is focused on relationships between soils, plants, microbes and the elements they exchange. She is a writer and the founder and director of the Critical Ecology Lab, a not for profit research and social change organization. Suzanne is currently a visiting scholar at the University of California Berkeley and is a 2021 Osher Fellow at the California Academy of Sciences. She lives and works on unceded Chechenyo-Ohlone Territory (Oakland, California).
