Happy Spring! Choy Commons is waking up and emerging from winter rest—restored and energized to embark upon another season together. They are gathering their community in ceremony to open the growing season and would love to see you there.

Choy Commons will be building a communal altar to set intentions of reciprocity between land and people, and to honor the cycles of past and future within us. Bring something to share, for someone else to take with them (food, flowers, beverages, objects). The altar will be edible, the hear of the altar will feature food by Kate Telfeyan.

Featuring performances from KQT Pungmul and gushes to anoint the bloom of spring, with dance DJ sets by eucademix and DJ Dirt— come dance!

This gathering is part of the event series in Quori Theodor‘s Gnaw installation at Performance Space New York in the East Village, an otherworldly dinner that pushes the sense of edibility and recontextualizes the performativity of food.

The event is free but space is limited, first come, first serve. Choy Commons can’t wait to see you!
