Cristina Carbajo is a designer and researcher based in London. The fundamentals of living - from spaces to sustenance - form the foundation of her practice. Originally trained as an architect, Cristina started her career at Adjaye Associates in 2015 before expanding her collaborative practice across a variety of design disciplines including R&D, behavioural research and product development. Outputs include co-design methodologies for resilient refugee housing, environmental incentivisation strategies for brands and communities, and multi-sensory culinary experiences promoting alternative foods, namely insects. Her work has been featured at the Alimentarium Museum 2020-2021, the V&A’s Exhibition Road Festival 2019, and London Design Festival 2018.
Cristina holds an MA + MSc in Global Innovation Design from the Royal College of Art and Imperial College London. She works as a Design Researcher at Fjord in parallel with her studio practice. Her contributions to MOLD frame conversational considerations related to environmentalism and design practice.
