Julia is a baker, writer and entrepreneur. Her work looks at food as an important design tool to educate and empower. Having worked as an industrial designer for four years, graduating from the Royal College of Art she retrained as a baker in 2014 and ran educational microbakery, The Bread Companion until 2020. Her cookbook 'How to eat your Christmas tree,' which looks at recycling and reuse in an age of climate crisis was published in 2020 by Hardie Grant. She currently lives in London and runs research project, The Edible Archive.
