Today marks the 600th day since Israel launched a full scale war to mask their campaign of genocide against the Palestinian people. MOLD stands in solidarity with the Palestinian people in their struggle for liberation against the Israeli occupation and genocide. We continue to honor the sovereignty of Indigenous peoples and their right to steward and be in relationship with their homelands. We recognize the ways that the Palestinian struggle for survival—in the face of a genocide funded by our tax dollars and the United States—surfaces the horrors of what bell hooks identified as the imperialist-white supremacist-captialist-patriarchy. We refuse to look away.
PACBI was launched in Ramallah in 2004 and is part of the wider Boycott, Divest, and Sanction movement. PACBI guidelines are simple: they ask institutions to refuse support from the state of Israel and reject projects that normalize the occupation of Palestine and dispossession of Palestinians. We invite all cultural producers and organizations, no matter their size, to take action.
