This Friday February 12th, two great food conferences will be hosted on the East and West Coasts—Design Observer’s TASTE conference in downtown Los Angeles and the second annual bitten conference in New York City.
Design Observer’s TASTE
Downtown Los Angeles
The editors of MOLD helped program this year’s Design Observer conference on TASTE. From agrarian economics to synthetic flavors, speakers from across the United States and Europe will explore the relationship between design and food. Look forward to keynotes by journalist, cookbook author, food activist and startup co-founder Mark Bittman, a conversation between MOLD editor LinYee Yuan and SproutsIO founder Jennifer Broutin Farah about technology and farming, and a roundtable presentation from three outstanding student design projects looking at the future of how and what we eat. Join us for the symposium with a 15% discount off ticket pricing for MOLD readers. Enter the promo code TASTE at checkout.
bitten Conference
New York City
Now in its second year, bitten is a broad-ranging conversation about food. From food tech startups to the James Beard foundation, this year’s speakers are heavy-hitting change makers in the business of food. We are most excited about seeing our friend and collaborator Andrea Lipps of the Cooper Hewitt Design Museum’s presentation on “Designing the Future of Food,” and AnneStine Bae from Brutal Magazine (colophon crush) on “Food and Art, Food as Art”.
At press time, tickets are still available for both conferences so jump on it and don’t miss an opportunity to be inspired by thought leaders and change makers working in the industry on the future of food.
