This is the question posed in Collectively’s first documentary feature, America’s Shrinking Farms. Although the ideas here are not ground-breaking, the 18-minute film is a great introduction to some of the innovative ideas and companies that are offering alternatives to big ag.

Join Charlet Duboc while she road trips across the country visiting Philips’ Green Sense Farm, Beyond Meat’s R&D lab, Big Cricket Farms egg crate breeding grounds, and San Francisco’s insect flour bakery, Bitty Foods not to mention guest appearances by vertical farming advocate Professor Dickson Despommier, Los Angeles chef Roy Choi and the Grist’s Nathanael Johnson.
