We’re Hiring an Editorial Intern

MOLD (thisismold.com) is seeking an intern. This person must be highly organized, communicative, detail-oriented, with a demonstrable passion for storytelling in its myriad forms and a belief in design and its potential to empower and transform communities.

MOLD is an online and print magazine about designing the future of food. Through in-depth, original reporting and a distinct vision for how design can transform our food system, our editors cover innovative ideas emerging from the world of food design, science and technology. 

The primary duties of the job are a) to support editorial production and b) research/pitch story ideas on a weekly schedule. The intern will report to the editor. The candidate should be excited by new media opportunities to tell stories and connect to communities through platforms that include but are not limited to social media, newsletters, discussion boards, podcasts, and serialized video.

Familiarity with online publishing platforms, ability to adhere to an editorial style guide, and fluency in google docs is a must. Experience with wordpress, adobe in-design and mailchimp is helpful.

This is a part-time position, paid position with an estimated commitment of 3-5 hours per week. Candidates will work remotely but will need to be available for weekly calls with our New York and California-based editorial team.
